It’s all about learning
At Emmaus we foster teaching and learning which meets the needs of students giving them the best preparation for modern life in the 21st century, encouraging independent thinking, learning and decision-making. Emmaus is committed to providing unique and enriching experiences for all students. Provision is made for students with special needs through our learning support team. The college also caters for students who have gifts and talents by providing a wide range of enrichment programs.
Emmaus fosters a cooperative environment of challenge, discovery and innovation. We encourage both our staff and students to view learning as a continuous process, with improvement always possible.

‘Step up into Teaching’ Program
Selected Year 12 students also participate in the Australian Catholic University (ACU) ‘Step up into Teaching’ program that gives them one unit towards their HSC and two courses to their undergraduate education degree program at ACU.
Vocational Education
A pathways program offers a more diverse range of options for senior students, with Emmaus and Loyola Senior High School working together to provide school-based vocational education and training (VET) courses including:
- Hospitality Operations
- Construction
- Business Services
- Retail Operations
- Information Technology
- Entertainment
TAFE delivered VET courses are also available in areas such as:
- Accounting
- Beauty Therapy
- Visual Design
- Marketing
- Aged Care
